Theresa V. Mendoza Arcega

Justice Maria Theresa V. Mendoza Arcega of SANDIGANBAYAN, the Anti-Graft Court of the Philippines is a Certified Public Accountant and a lawyer. Starting her career as an Executive Assistant at the Supreme Court of the Philippines, Justice Arcega rose from the ranks and became a trial court judge for several years. Before her appointment to her present position, she was the Executive Judge of the Regional Trial Court of Bulacan and the Presiding Judge of a designated Family Court. Being active in Family Court concerns paved the way for her designation as one of the two regular representatives to the International Hague Network of Judges, as member of the Supreme Court’s Committee on Family Courts and Juvenile Concerns and the Technical Working Group on Hague Child Support. She is an active officer of the Philippine Women Judges Association and the Regional Director for Asia-Pacific of the International Women Judges from 2019 to present. Justice Arcega is a Professor of Law at the San Beda University, Manila, her alma mater, and the Bulacan State University. She is a resource person on laws concerning women and children’s rights and Judicial Integrity, among others. She was a delegate on various local and international conferences, seminars, and conventions. In the years 2015 and 2019, Justice Arcega was the Philippine BAR Examiner in Legal Ethics
